Blog 6 - Video Analysis

The first video I am going to analyse is a very famous song by Bob Marley, singing 'Three Little Birds'. The genre of this video, like 'When the Night Feels My Song' by Bedouin Soundclash, is Reggae. The video represents a calm natured song that try's to convey happiness to the listeners, and that 'every little thing is going to be alright', as part of the courus in his song. The audience that are targeted are for all ages, and perhaps for those feeling mellow or down. The girl in the video appears to become happier throughout the duration of the video, as the video is reaching the end, she starts to sing along, as though every thing is going to be alright.

The second video of a similar genre to both Bob Marley and Bedouin Soundclash's songs, noted above is by the artist Shaggy, the song I have chosen is perhaps his most famous, Bombastic. The representation of the video is trying to convey that the artist Shaggy, is 'Mr Lover Lover', and that he will spread love throughout the nation. The audience is perhaps directed at a younger age generation, but the idea is similar to Bob Marley's.
